John Achille and Tim Newmeyer of Coastal attended the 2011 Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance Convention & Expo held in Reno, NV, from Feb. 7-10. The Convention is the leading spray foam trade event in the country, offering unparalleled networking, information and training. This year’s keynote speaker was Mike Holmes, from HGTV's Holmes on Homes.
 
John and Tim took this opportunity to begin the process of SPFA accreditation – something only achieved by contractors with commitment to the spray foam industry and dedication to quality projects. Two of the classes they attended were "Fundamentals of Spray Polyurethane Foam for the Building Envelope"€ and "Fundamentals of SPF Health and Safety€." They also had the chance to learn about the changes in codes for 2011 and how AC 377, Appendix X, has affected ignition barriers in attics and crawlspaces. The seminars and classes that John and Tim attended will help improve Coastal's already in-depth understanding of the spray foam industry – allowing us to bring our customers a greater level of skill and professionalism.
