Coastal Insulation Breaks Ground On New Headquarters Facility In East Windsor - June 14, 2006

Mayor Janice S. Mironov announced that Coastal Insulation Corporation has started construction of a new 40,000 square foot headquarters facility at 100 Lake Drive in East Windsor. A Ground Breaking ceremony in which the Mayor Mironov along with Coastal Insulation Vice President Bret Schwartz and Township and other company officials participated was held on the site on June 14 at 9:30 a.m.

According to Mayor Mironov, "Coastal Insulation Corporation is a welcome new addition to the Twin Rivers Business Park." I am pleased," the Mayor added, "that Coastal Insulation has chosen East Windsor Township as a location for its new and expanded headquarters building. This attractive new facility will add to the Township's ratable base and will provide additional jobs."

Coastal Insulation, currently located in Spotswood, New Jersey near East Brunswick, is relocating to their new East Windsor facility in order to accommodate their need for more space. The company's search for a new site to construct a much larger facility led to East Windsor. According to company Vice President Bret Schwartz, "Coastal Insulation was attracted to the East Windsor location because of its accessibility to the New Jersey Turnpike and regional highways, plus the setting in the Twin Rivers business park was esthetically pleasing."

Company Vice President Bret Schwartz praised the Township "for its cooperation in going through necessary processing for the new facility" and is "looking forward to further growth with the new facility in East Windsor."

The new facility is expected to be completed and ready for occupancy by early next summer. Up to 50 employees, mostly office staff, will work in the facility.Other employees working off site are installers of insulation for the company.

As part of the project, Coastal Insulation provided an easement to the Township for a proposed Twin Rivers - Etra Lake Pathway which will extend along the southern edge of the property connecting with the cul-de-sac at the end of Lake Drive. Thepathway project is currently being designed by the Township's consulting engineer.
